Our Story

Why We Started CloudWorx

CloudWorx Capital was founded in April 2021 with a seed round of $90M led by Paradigm. Our founding team observed that while interest in web3 and blockchain was accelerating, seed-stage infrastructure companies were dramatically underfunded relative to the scope of the problem they were solving.

Traditional venture capital was too slow, too generalist, and too late. We set out to build a fund that could move at the speed of open-source development — investing before product-market fit, before the narrative, before the crowd.

Three years on, our portfolio includes some of the most consequential blockchain infrastructure teams in the world, with portfolio companies raising in aggregate over $1 billion in follow-on capital from top-tier investors.
